Send an email to bob@nordicfamilyhistory.com if you have any questions about researching your Scandinavian-American or German-American ancestors. I look forward to hearing from you! – Bob
My name is Bob Johnson. Over the last 40 years I have performed genealogical research throughout the Mid-West and Mid-Atlantic regions, as well as research on Swedish records. My background as a lawyer and historian has allowed me to develop strong analytic research skills that I use to efficiently and effectively respond to the needs of my clients.
I hold the Certified Genealogist® credential from the Board for the Certification of Genealogists, and I am a member of the Association of Professional Genealogists (APG). I abide by the code of ethics of both APG and of the Board for the Certification of Genealogists. I am professionally affiliated with numerous genealogical organizations both in the United States and Sweden including the APG, the National Genealogical Society, the Virginia Genealogical Society, the Indiana Genealogical Society, the Swedish American Center, the Swenson Swedish Immigration Research Center, Datorhjälp I Släktforskningen (DIS-Sweden), as well as numerous county and local genealogical societies. I have worked in numerous roles for the Fairfax Genealogical Society and the local APG Chapter.
I constantly update my research skills by attending conferences, workshops, webinars, and society meetings. In addition, I keep up with the latest in research, both in the United States and Scandinavia, through blogs, books, professional journals, and personal resources. I look forward to working with you! – Bob (bob@nordicfamilyhistory.com)
